Community

The Book Bungalow is committed to serving and strengthening our community. This area was first populated by faithful, hard-working pioneers, dedicated to creating towns and a culture that would thrive despite the heat and scarcity of water and resources. While we enjoy many comforts and luxuries today (most especially air conditioning), we cannot afford to let our rapid growth in population dilute our sense of community. We can't afford to stop caring for and about each other. And that includes caring for our local businesses. We owe it to each other and to generations to follow. And we don't believe moving into a new area or city ends when the moving truck pulls away.

So, we hope all who encounter us here online or climb the steps to our front porch on Tabernacle Street will feel more than welcome. We hope you will feel at home. We're reaching out to parents with kids, grandparents with grandkids, local artists, artisans, and performers, book clubs, writing groups, and schools. Come and visit. The cohesiveness of our community is based, among other things, on three pillars--strong families, a culture of inclusiveness and exploration, and a love for education. When all three pillars are valued, then we can be assured our community will continue to thrive.

We, at The Book Bungalow, will do all we can to serve all three.
